The Volt OG was the last pair of Air Max 90s I bought, and I’m hyped on these recrafts! Obviously, because now I’m back with these Nike Air Max 90 OG Hyper Turquoise, which are part of the set of AM90 releases designed with a shape closer to the original 1990 releases.
After I picked up the Volt pair, I was all over the other colorways. I’m not sure if I will pick up every single one, but I like these recrafted 90s a lot, so I will probably be getting another pair or two!
We get a super skinny 30th Anniversary box similar to the original Air Max 90 box style with the same Teal color found on the shoes. Anatomical arch supports and a teal hang tag are also packed in. The shoes ship with white laces.
How Are The Materials?
These are definitely a bit softer than a typical pair of Air Max 90s. It’s the typical felt-like suede, basic leather and mesh construction, but the quality is just slightly more on point. Not what I would call premium or buttery, but way better than we we are used to getting with general release Air Max 90s.
How Do They Fit?
These Nike Air Max 90 OG Hyper Turquoise fit true to size. That gives these enough width to be comfy with no break-in time, rather than pinching down on my pinky toe for the first several wears. The shoe is relatively nice and pointy at the toebox thanks to the “OG” tooling.
The narrow box does lead to some denting around the toebox by the way. This is a common complaint on the “OG” rereleases this year. Most times the dents come out when on foot. Just be careful how you line the shoes up when you store them. Try not to have the heel of one shoe jamming into the toebox of the other shoe and you can minimize the in-the-box creasing.
